The title of the blog – religion, is as general as directional. From mine, and I hope not only my observations, the hunger of this topic is permanently insatiate at all. However, there is no regular discussion, or rather, it is not to very much. Non-reflective acceptance or vicious attack prevails (I ignore academic discussions, these are still presentthere for luck). I decide to think loudly. It’s true that I do it not to many to often – lack of time. And offcourse not only religion, but also of any philosophical thinking you wish – we’ll see.
The more the offensive minded writer, the better. At least, it’s not about the so-called “only right views,” but the search for the truth. Man as homo religiosus must face this question, even if the answer is negative. Yes I am a theologian and is in some way influences my attitude towards the problem.
If you are an atheist, I hope you are not belligerent. I hate all kinds of fanaticisms – religious ones as well. Even those subtles, as in the Paul Dirac case, about him Wolfgang Pauli expressed once time: “There is no God, and Dirac is his prophet.” An interesting parabola with shahada ا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهThere is no God but Allah, and Mohammed is His Prophet – pronounced three times, he makes us a follower. Indeed – it can not be said that God exists, but it is also absurd to say also that He does not exist. This is exactly faith.
Well – a system of values that is based only on the attachment to symbolism and safe identification with a group in which we feel comfortable, it’s a little bit not enough. If not even it’s a road to nowhere. Of course, I do not promote different views. Rather, I try to point out that the symbol remains only a symbol and is not a reality in itself.
